One morning in May 2012 came to mind. It was at one of the villas in the south of Sri Lanka. Service on the island is quite leisurely, conditioned by the outlook. It's a real mystery to the locals where and why one would rush on vacation?...So while we waited for our modest breakfast, my husband was swinging in his hammock and I was able to quietly get the job done. I was interested in observing and showing combinations of natural textures, shapes and identifying their relationships. Color could distract from the movement and whimsy of the lines ...
Meanwhile, the heat was beginning to set in and the sound of the surf was drowned out by the varied crackling of insects ...

Вспомнилось одно утро в мае 2012 года. Это было на одной из вилл на юге Шри-Ланки. Обслуживание на острове весьма неспешное, обусловленное мировоззрением. Для местных настоящая загадка куда и зачем можно спешить в отпуске?…Поэтому, пока мы ждали свой скромный завтрак, муж качался в гамачке,

а я смогла спокойно сделать эту работу. Мне было интересно понаблюдать и показать сочетания природных фактур, форм и выявить их взаимоотношения.

Цвет мог бы отвлечь от движения и причудливости линий….
Тем временем начинался зной и шум прибоя заглушался разнообразным треском насекомых.
